KFBL plans reaching out children in 2025

A powerful and impactful conversation unfolded as literary trailblazers came together to reimagine the future of children’s literature. Renowned writers and editors-Mahboob Elahi Makhmoor (Monthly Anokhi Kahaniyan) and Hanif Sehr (Monthly School Life International) got together for a thought-provoking discussion with Syed Khalid Mahmood, Co-founder of the Karachi Festival of Books & Libraries and Chairman of Jumbo Publishing, alongside Yousra Fazil, the visionary Founder of Pakistan Kids Readers Club and CEO of Mission Admission Preparation Centre. 

The plan is to reach out the children. From storytelling to fostering a love for reading, the session brimmed with groundbreaking ideas and initiatives. A wave of exciting projects for young readers seems on the way which were discussed at length during the meeting. 

While the inaugural edition of the Karachi Festival of Books and Libraries (KFBL) in 2024 targeted the general audience, efforts are now being made to have greater participation of children this year and its co-founders, Aziz Memon and Syed Khalid Mahmood, are now exploring the possibilities of an exclusive event to enlighten the young minds.
